Peanut Butter Protein Ball Recipe

I’ve never been about protein shakes like every other person in the fitness industry. Protein supplements aren’t necessary in most people’s diets. In fact, I went vegan for a month and ate 50% less protein than I was used to and still made gains with no supplements!   Personally, I don’t use protein or any other supplements on a regular basis in my own meal plans either. The times that I do incorporate protein supplementation are for fun and delicious recipes. Protein recipes are great for pre or post workout when you’re craving something sweet vs. savory. When I do have protein powder, I’m either making protein pancakes, cookies, ice cream, or oats. Today I’m making protein “energy” balls!   Its stupid simple to make; anyone can do it and takes less than 5 minutes to prepare (and less than 24 hours to devour on your own).    

Ingredients needed: protein powder, peanut butter, honey, almond milk, and chocolate chips.

Mix all of your ingredients together in a bowl, omitting the chocolate chips. Once you have a consistent texture in the mix, roll the dough into balls. Add the chocolate chips to the outside of the protein balls. Put them in the freezer for 1-2 hours and they’re ready to eat!
