Online strength coach, Bryan

My passion for fitness began in childhood, inspired by my father's dedication to bodybuilding. Growing up, I stayed active by participating in sports such as baseball, football, and lacrosse. A lower back injury in college sparked my interest in rehabilitation, leading me to work in physical and occupational therapy and eventually pursue a career as a trainer.

I have experience working with a wide range of individuals, from adolescents to older adults and from complete beginners to Division 1 athletes. As a competitive powerlifter, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for strength training and the empowerment it brings.

My goal is to help you build good habits and develop a mindset that promotes a healthy relationship with fitness. I strive to help you see fitness as a lifelong tool for feeling good, improving your overall well-being, and increasing your longevity.

When I first got involved with fitness in 12th grade, I couldn’t care less about my physical health, nutrition, or even my form.

Initially, the gym was just an outlet for my mental health; to help in managing my depression and anxiety. My main priority was to feel better in the moment.

While healthy fitness habits are incredibly powerful for our mental health, the keyword is healthy. I went from struggling with basic self care to competing in an NPC bikini competition, which made my mental health worse not better. By my show day, I had developed binge eating disorder, and I also placed dead last.

This major hit to my confidence lead to me searching for anything that made me feel “good enough.” Depression has a way of making you not feel good enough, and I unfortunately began using a healthy tool that I once loved— to seek validation. NOT GOOD.

A few years later, I went on to run full and half marathons while also competing in powerlifting. After placing in first multiple times, winning best lifter, and placing (and still currently holding) state records — I finally decided to give my body a break.

It took all of that — and several injuries from lack of self care outside of the gym — to finally start taking my nutrition, mobility, and daily movement more seriously. This is the type of shift that creates resilience through training and life, and what we want to bring to you, but while avoiding all of the mistakes (like ignoring other important areas of fitness and self care). When your mind and your body feel good, life feels good!
